Venue & Travel

We strongly encourage participants to arrive on Sunday 10.12.2023 at the latest and leave on Thursday 14.12.2023 at the earliest, so that they can take advantage of all the three days of the workshop. The workshop will be held at the Centre of New Technologies at University of Warsaw.

Getting to Warsaw:

Warsaw Chopin airport (WAW)

The main and recommended airport, which is located close to the city center and the venue.

  • Bus: 175 bus, a 25 min ride in the off-peak hours, ~40-45 min ride in peak hours to the City Center, cost: up to 4,40 PLN
  • Train: regional train KM (RL) or metropolitan train SKM (S3) to Warszawa Zachodnia station (many bus connections are available from there) , cost: up to 4,40 PLN
  • Taxi: a 15 min ride off-peak, ~25 min ride in peak hours to the City Center. The easiest and safest way is to head to the Taxi stop, which is just outside arrivals hall. The signs inside the arrivals hall should will direct you there. Alternative reliable taxi providers in Warsaw are Uber, Bolt, and FreeNow, all accessible via respective mobile apps.

We highly recommend checking the best available connections at the moment of your arrival in Google Maps or JakDojade.pl.

Warsaw Modlin airport (WMI)

Budget airlines airport, which requires a 1-hour bus+train+metro connection to the City Center. Cost: 20 PLN

Train to Warszawa Zachodnia or Warszawa Gdańska

Currently there is a major construction at Warsaw Central Station (Warszawa Centralna), so all the trains go through Warszawa Zachodnia (the closest to the venue) and Warszawa Gdańska (good metro connection to the city center).

Transport in Warsaw:

We have well-developed public transport. Trams, buses, and city trains use the same tickets, as described on the provider’s website. We recommend using Google Maps or JakDojade apps to find routes (JakDojade also allows you to purchase tickets), or the web version of JakDojade.

The closest bus/tram stops to the conference venue are Banacha, Och-Teatr, and Banacha-Szpital stops.

The best connections from the city center are bus 175 and tram 7, 9, 25.
